WILDERNESS PACKTRIP PERSONAL ITEMS LIST
----Duffel Bag: Light weight, waterproof bags 30”x 18” in length. We prefer
two 20# bags or smaller. 40# baggage limit
The weights of duffel will be strictly enforced.
----Clothing: Blue jeans, cotton shirts, light long underwear, lots of socks & underwear, Swimming Suit
----Warm Jacket: both light and heavy; nights are always cool.
----Hiking Boots or hard soled shoes for riding. Cowboy boots not recommended.
----Camp shoes: Sneakers or moccasins.
----Flash Light/Headlamp and extra batteries, Pocket knife
----Rain Gear: Bring some...the weather is always unpredictable. Please no ponchos.
----Towel &Wash Cloth.
----Sleeping Bag: It’s best to bring your own bag. Rated down to 0 degrees
----Sleeping Pad: Therma Rest type, we do have some if you do not.
----Sun Glasses, Polarized for Fishing
----Chap stick, Lotion with Sun Block and Insect Repellent
----Cowboy Hat or Cap and Gloves: Cowboy hats are best.
----Neckerchief or Scarf
----Camera: Bring plenty of film or memory cards &extra batteries.
----Water Bottle: With filter if possible
----Alcohol, Beer &Soda: Alcohol should be packed in unbreakable containers Beer &
Soda Aluminum Cans
----Wet Wipes & large Ziploc Bags
----Toiletries, Medication and Anti-inflammatory: Tylenol, Motrin, Aleve, Advil, etc.
----Fishing Gear: Rods 8’- 9’ 5 to 7 weight 2 reels with sinking and floating head line
Light weight waders or wet wade in shorts and wading shoes
Best Flies: Adams, Renegade, Stimulators, Hoppers, Stoneflies,
Coachman, Cadis, Plain &Beaded Nymphs
Spinning Rod &Reel Light or Ultra-Light, Lures: Mepps, Dare Devils
, Panther Martins and Rapala
WAIVER AND RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS AND LIABILITY
RESERVATION: We require a $500 deposit per person to confirm the dates. We will not
consider your pack trip dates confirmed until we receive your deposit even though we may have
agreed upon dates. Once your trip dates have been confirmed, ½ down of total balance is due by
May 30th.
REFUND POLICY: Deposits are nonrefundable but may be transferred to another year. There
are absolutely NO refunds on any payments received. No rate reductions or extra days will be
given if you leave before the conclusion of your trip or fail to arrive on the prearranged dates.2
CANCELLATION POLICY: There will be NO refund of deposit or balance once payment has
been made as we can not refill the space.
SAFETY and LIABILITY: We make every effort to help you have an enjoyable and safe
vacation with us. However, riding horses, fishing, wading rivers and streams, and other activities
associated with your pack trip package, by their very nature involves some risk. We assume no
liability or responsibility for personal injury or belongings. The guests hereby waives all claims
for damages or loss to their person or property which may be caused by an act, or failure to act,
on the part of Boulder Basin Outfitters, its owners or employees, and further covenants not to sue,
institute any action of suit of law or equity against us or our employees, or any government entity
on which we operate.
PHOTOGRAPHY: We reserve the right to use photographs taken during these trips for
advertising purposes.
Arrival & Accommodations
You will need to arrive in Cody the day before your trip starts. Yellowstone Regional Airport services Cody with United and Delta /SkyWest. There are also several rental car places there. There are many Hotels in Cody. We recommend are the Holiday Inn (307)587-5555 & The Irma Hotel (307) 587-4221. You can also contact us for more options.
